Lately

I had an MRI on my left knee today, I injured it a few weeks ago running and it's just been hurting worse, hurting to the point that it was keeping me up at night and prohibiting me from running and biking, two of the things I really love. So I've been hobbling around like Cap'n Jack Sparrow from any one of the Pirates movies. It stinks. Being a nanny doesn't help any either, by the end of the day I'm exhausted. Well I was exhausted anyways, chasing around twin 2 yr old girls on two good knees was tough enough, now that I'm a gimp it's extra tiring. It has been frustrating though, I love being active, I've been determined not to gain the 'newlywed 10,' so far so good :) I'm actually losing weight and seeing results, which is exciting- and then the knee decides to poop out on me. My sweet husband has been helping out alot, I don't know what I would do without him.

In other news, I'm trying to become more organized, this morning I looked at our tv stand with a basket of games beside it and our Wii underneath the stand, I looked for a minute or two and was like, nope! I have no idea what to do with that stuff! I'm sure I needed to stare for at least 5 mins and something would've come. The other areas of the house are slowly getting more organzied, the linen closest is all put together and labeled, the dining room is good to go, as well as the kitchen. The office is a work in progress. An overwhelming work in progress. We need to re-arrange and just start over. We have 4 computer moniters on 2 desks( thank my husband the self-employed nerd/technology director who works from home some days). On half of desk number 3 we have papers, bills, the latest techie stuff, and then a clear, unscathed side of the desk that is patiently waiting for my sewing machine to lay on it. The office needs help. We will just have to set aside several weekends and get it in order, because I can't take it and neither can Joe. Oh, did I mention that we have a deer head hanging from the east wall of the office? I said I would never marry a hunter, I caved.
He's cute, so it's ok.

It's about time

I have been absent from the whole 'blogging world' for quite some time, so I thought it might be time to rejoin the 21st century. I have been reading so many others blogs I was getting the itch to create my own. So here I am.

I don't even know if anyone will read it, I doubt I'll be able to quit my job and live off the money I make from the advertisers who want on this blog and I highly doubt I'll go on the Rachel Ray show for my brilliant idea of cooking out of a crockpot for a year and blogging about it(brilliant idea! I wish I would've thought of it first). But I guess I'm just writing this for my own sake, I love writing. I miss it terribly. Maybe someone will be encouraged if they stumble upon this site and see the weird, random and perhaps slightly upsurd writings, all the while knowing that I write with honesty and character. Who knows.
